 This week's challenge really did not inspire me, so instead of giving up, I decided to do something abstract, if only to see if anyone will get it...

I understand the reference to new in this challenge. It's not very visually appealing though with the dead grass, the rusting sign and lack of color. the blur in the bottom makes it look like it was taken out the car window. The angle, lighting and idea are all great with this photo though, so my opinion doesn't really account for much, more like just an observation. Good luck with the challenge.

too much empty space an left side crop to give picture more impact try it

The cross being in there adds to it for sure...gives it spiritual dimension.

I think this is a stretch....The photo on it's own does not tell me anything "new" nor can I gather anything that would lend me to believe there's newness of any sort...

That cross adds something dramatic to the picture. It makes you think about what those arrows mean and where they lead.
