| Beautiful B&W capture. This picture has the whole range of grays which is marvelous. Nice side lighting. Simple yet elegent design. One of my favorites for the challenge and highly rated. |

| While not the most interesting composition of all the submissions, I've rated this image particularly highly based on its sheer technical brilliance: nice interplay of light and dark, excellent depth of field and sharp without having been brutally oversharpened in post-processing |

| Very nice - certainly outstanding among the flower shots (including mine =). The composition of the two flowers and petal is perfect, while the rich monotone compliments the rustic wood background. |
