I gave this a 7, partly for the creativity of it. I would have liked it better if the bird was in a more natural position, looking like it really belonged in the tree. And for the composition, I think I would have liked the bird lower and more to the left -- with the beak leading my eye up into the tree, rather than with the tail leading my eye down and out of the picture. |

The focus seems to be on the tree but not the bird. It was a pear tree, wasn't it??? |

Rather an ornate bird. Might have cropped a bit more off the left and top. |

Nice ornament, but the lighting is too harsh and a perch that wasn't quite so busy with all of those branches sticking in every direction would also have helped improve the composition. |
