 An ornamental partridge that turned out to be a useful Xmas gift.

Post-processing: rotate, rezise, crop, minor smudging, lightness/saturation, brightness/contrast, unsharp mask

I gave this a 7, partly for the creativity of it. I would have liked it better if the bird was in a more natural position, looking like it really belonged in the tree. And for the composition, I think I would have liked the bird lower and more to the left -- with the beak leading my eye up into the tree, rather than with the tail leading my eye down and out of the picture.

The focus seems to be on the tree but not the bird. It was a pear tree, wasn't it???

Nice ornament, but the lighting is too harsh and a perch that wasn't quite so busy with all of those branches sticking in every direction would also have helped improve the composition.
