Sorry but this shot´s DOF doesn´t agree with me. The composition draws my eye towards the backround and fog to the out of focus areas and not the foreground, I would have opted for infinity focus here. |

I like the DOF used and it presents well in B&W. |

Great DOF. Great choice for b/w. Even the border adds to the overall feeling. Love the white inline that dissappears at the top of the shot. It does seem to be missing some little something though to take it from very nice to awesome.

Remote, desolate, beautiful, wild...been in similar places and I can feel that environment all over again: perfectly captured and composed. The black and white works well for this. |

Yes, but they can hold water making a harsh environment deceivingly luxourious! Looks kinda like Ansel Adams but no expert editing that I can tell. Don't worry, I'm not voting...just commenting. |

Great black and white shot! even with foggy conditions your photo came out crisp. |

Not sure I get the title and I would have liked a little DOF, but challenge *well* met! |

Nice perspective here.
I wasn't sure about your choice to make the background out of focus, but it simply forces your eye towards the harsh and perfectly sharp rock in the foreground, which is the subject so i guess the out of focus background works well.
Absolutely brilliant black and white tones though, would love to know what method you used to get them. |
