Not bad but I think this would have benefited from having less middle ground, that is if you had gotten down lower. 6 from me.

Don't care too much for the tonality in this instance. Don't think it adds to the shot. It is however a very fitting shot for the challenge. Nature vs. man kind of thing.

...but not bad enough to kill those birds and grass that is growing there. Don't get me wrong, I get your point. Did you copy and paste those birds? If so, you might have considered making them look like they were floating dead.

The ducks don't seem to fit to the photo, it feels like they were layered in from another photo.

The way you have captured the smokestacks in the background with life in the foreground produces a powerful message. The sepia tones work well here.
