Took, this shot on Sat our family Chirstmas, at my Mother-in-laws. The Eagle I saw on the highway on the way home, I made my husband turn around to get the shot. Adjusted contrast & added layers. Combined the two shots. I am putting info on the main shot - should there be a place to put both. I did some work on the Eagle as it is a little out of focus, as I shot it out of a car window.

This is a wonderful image. The composition, colors, and especially the beautiful soaring eagle. I love the fanned out tail. And I like the position of the eagle in the composition -- soaring into the shot rather than out of it. The misty soft feel of the landscape is a nice contrast to the sharp eagle. Definite wow factor here, and I gave it a 10.

I bet you kicked yourself that the eagle was not in focus. While the image might stand scrutiny here, it is sadly less valuable elsewhere. Nice work though. I stand by my ten score.

Is the Eagle PSed in? If not, incredible photo. Otherwise, great composing.

Great mood, though the halo around the bird's left wing seems a bit obvious

This kindof makes me think of Cutter´s Triptych ribbon. Anyway, a nice shot and pretty well captured, think I would have liked it better if the eagle had been in the upper right corner and not the left and I personally may even have gone so far as to move it since that´s allowed in the ruleset but I respect that you didn´t. A small halo around the bird though that bothers me, you sure your monitor isn´t a little too bright? Anyway, great shot, 7 from me.

What an exceptional image. As far as I can see, it is more or less as it came from the camera. 10.

I have never gone back through with such a critical eye and reevaluated photos submitted in a challenge before. However because of what I consider to be the controversial nature of this rules set I am doing this now. My first time through I was willing to give you the benefit of a doubt on this extremely lucky capture of an eagle flying through a beautiful scene. The more I look at it though, the more it appears that the bird was added after the fact. The lighting around the bird doesn't match the rest of the sky and gives it a highlighted appearance. This may be a very good job of visual trickery, but visual trickery it is and therefore I am forced to reduce your score to one that is more fitting with the spirit of the rules...

The editing halo around the bird shows up a little to much to make this photo work.

Wow, if only that was real.
Which is what i keep saying to myself looking through these 'expert (used loosely) editing' shots.

Wonderful composition. The tilt of the horizon is a touch "off" to my eye, even if it was naturally so. Otherwise, a very well done image, although "harsh" might not describe the feeling I get of the surroundings.

Your photo does not convey, to me, much 'harshness' - it's rather beautiful instead. I wonder if it's a copy-and-paste job or an actual capture? Anyway, I don't vote in challenges I've entered or rarely do so - this time around I'm not. If I were, even though I feel it's somewhat dnmc, I'd give it an 8. Good luck to ya!

this is a nice image. not sure if the eagle was really captured at this location since it it advanced editing...doesn't matter but i would like to see more negative space to the left of the eagle. it just feels too tight with the bird so close to the left edge of the image.

Awesome capture! Love the soft whiteness of the picture - feels cold. The eagle is so cool - I love the angle he is on. Back to bump you up to 8.

sun on the bird doesn't match the background - nice idea - seems like he'd almost be a silo from this angle
