Nice pattern and lighting. I think the composition would be stronger without the tree branches.

Too dark. I would like to see more detail in the spikes (and the broken off ones in the center interrupt the "pattern")

If those were either fully front-lit or fully back-lit (silhouette), it would be a much more striking image.
