Actually I was just making my usual trawl through the photos from the weekend, and I hadn't even considered this for this challenge - hadn't even thought that I'd got a shot for 'grace' at all ... and maybe after the voting I still won't.

I was going to call it something cheesy like 'The Grace of God', or perhaps something with less religion to it, but I think there's enough here for it to stand by itself - there's grace in both the form and the fact of these drops of water, and I think also in the curve of this leaf.

This is absolutely as found - I just stood over it (well, crouched over it) with the camera. Thought about moving the blade of grass from in front of the leaf, but I don't think I believe in that kind of thing: it isn't any part of what I think photography should be about.

The garden of the house in Greenleaf Road is a familiar place too - as it where I smoke when I'm there I often have time to contemplate it in a way I wouldn't some other places.

Levels, USM, cropped, not necessarily in that order.

*critique club*

Greetings again. We seem to meet far more than statistically appropriate...

I agree entirely with Willem's comments below. In fact, I can't add much more to that. I can see a graceful line in the leaf itself, and the water droplets add a touch of beauty. However, overall, I feel that it's just a little dull.

Best wishes,

Jim

Awesome picture... not sure how it represents grace, but it's clear and beautiful to look at.

Drop is a leave are always attractive and the sharpness here is good. Unfortunately the leave itself is not very attractive and the surroundings are a bit cluttered, especially the one piece of grass in front of the leave is disturbing. If possible, getting closer and lower and removing the grass in front, might have solved this, limiting also depth of field and therefore creating more impact of the drops.

Elegant image. The droplets on the leaf are so sharp and clear. Lovely use of line and light. 9

Nice shot. Says grace to me, composition might have been improved, 9.

I don't usually think of leaves as graceful, but you've made this one graceful by the way you photographed it. Very nice.

This is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure it comes off. The colors (even the greens) seem dull or muted somehow.

interesting, I like the water, shame about the piece of grass in front, it draws my eye in the wrong direction

Beautiful photo, very nice. Not sure it shouts "Grace" to me, or would have scored it 1 higher, but still an excellent shot.
