Went outside to take a picture of the wall of my apartment to do "Another Brick in the Wall"... noticed planes were flying right over my apartment so attempted to catch one in flight a la "Dark Side of the Moon." I would never have guessed I could catch so many stars in the sky in Chicago because of light pollution.

Editing: crop, lighten shadows, increase contrast, decrease saturation, USM, NeatImage (possibly a little over-sharpened, but wanted to outline the bricks and bring out the stars)

takes a few seconds to work out that this is a outside corner and not looking into a bottomless pit :)

I dig the composition in this one, really works to lead my eye around the frame.

OHH! I was looking at this forever until I figured out what it was. That's really really REALLY cool. Composition (I love the top right corner) and the perspective/lighting illusion especially are just AWESOME. Back to look at this again and I have to say that this is one of the most amazing shots I have EVER seen.

woah, trippy for like 5min i thought it was reversed like the stars were the top and the building was like ahole leading down, not sure if that makes sence. But its a cool picture, finally someone did an interesting interpretation of that title. 9

I'm not sure I know what I'm looking at. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the composition has to be rock solid for an abstract - because that's really all there is - this doesn't have that for me.

Weird...fits the challenge well. I'm having trouble figuring out how you did this and what the building is. Doesn't look brick. Looks more like particle board? Good composition and use of light, but I don't think it would have much appeal outside of this challenge. 5.

nice idea, but sky is too greyish, lot of pixelation and jpeg-artefacts here
