 I love taking photos of nature, especially autumn leaves up-close. I thought the autumn leaves would suit this "Brown" challenge.

Peter took me out to where some huge Ficus tree are growing, alongside the main road, just outside of Palmwoods. A carpet of ficus leaves is always there, throughout the year.

I love them, and always get a buzz when looking through the leaves to see what I can find to photograph. I was so surprised to find one leaf, that looked like the "Phantoms Mask", so that is why I called this image that.

I like this in the autumn tones, but absolutely loved it in these silvery brown sepia tones, as it suits the mood of image, and of the title, re "The Phantoms Mask".

Nice shot. Great post processing. Really turned it into a work of art. Not sure if it meets the challenge well though - would prefer more brown tones.

Very cool tones on this one. Seems to have a touch of over-neat/ninja going. Just distracts me a bit but overall a stunning image. 8

The sepia-toning makes it so I can't even tell what color this is supposed to be. Nice shot, but I don't think it quite meets the guidelines of the challenge.

Cool image! I saw the face instantly. The leaves look too shiny, but it does convey the feeling of brittleness. I like it.:)

I think this would be better without all the neat image you used. I like to see the real detail, especially in something as detailed as dead leaves.
