My Middle son sitting patiently for a portrait specifically for this challenge. Good picture, not great. Think this will fetch 5 to 5.5. It will get good votes from the mom types, and be scorned by the single purist types. If I'm wrong, great. Looking at this photo, I think it should score more toward 6, but I know how you guys are and how you vote. So I'm choosing the realisitic approach to this one. I specifically used my middle kid for this one since he's never been featured in a challenge shot. Plus he's pretty darn adorable

GREAT PHOTO. Wrong theme. It would have been an amazing submission for the "lighting" theme.

I love the picture. And she is so cute...

This is a good low-key portrait. The light isnt too bright on the face and her expression is still captured, cheeky as it is. Part of me would like to see her be more fuller frame and lose the darkness/shadow on the left, or else have more negative space on the right to follow the path of her eyes.

Kind of on the dark side, Shadows can be light and have alot of meaning.. needs to be a bit lighter to get the feel for the shadow in this photo.

Beautiful lighting and the strong shadows really enhance the mood. I'd like to crop some of the black background from left and possibly top to bring her face more horizontally central.

Nice; I would suggest some crop on the left, seems unbalanced.

Great contrast between the dark and the light. Effective use of black and white.
