Agree with noraneko about the photo filters - they can give things a nice nudge. I'm really loving the skinny warped-looking trees to the left. These voters will usually require a more pronounced subject unfortunately. However, this shot might be fun for applying a filter or an effect. If you have PS - try liquify to give the warpy trees an even bigger wobble. Perhaps glowing outlines. Actually, with all this nice contrast, you might try a simple b/w or duotone conversion. If all else fails, make a composite - add an image.... giant gerbil maybe? :) |

Question for you: have you ever tried adjusting white balance on your camera? I just took a class in lighting, where I learned about white balance, and it opened a whole new world for me. This is a classic example of a photo that might have benefited from a warming filter (open shade setting for very warm, cloud setting for slightly warm). Basically, one of these filters would help alleviate the blue cast (unless, of course, that blue cast was intentional).
Otherwise- I think you've got a pretty strong composition going here, and some nice lines. Looks like you could have used a tripod for a little more exposure. A bit dark.

This would be so much stronger if the bottom left corner wasn't obscured by shadow. The light and occasional green leaf are very nice. |

the green at the bottom is distracting, i like the linear movement throughout |
