This is a great crop and the focus is sharp. Surprised this was rated 42nd. Still a great finish, deserves higher I think.

I like the effects created by the angle & close-up aspect. It's really great that the post-process has created a hint of an oil or an acrylic painting, yet still maintaining the finesse & appearance of a photograph. Great Job! :)

You simply nailed it. The one problem with this photo, is the technique has been done quite a bit, and the unique factor is starting to fade. However your technical execution far exceeds anything less than an 8 in my book, and is getting a 9 from me because the horse is a nice stray from dogs, and cats. GL, and great image.

I'm shoving ya in my 10's, hope ya don't mind. Also adding to my fav's.

7 - Very good. Good feel to this. Not sure about the crop near the nostrils, works, but wonder about a variation. The crooked fence line, but fairly minor and again, does work as is.

The angle of the head doesn't work for me. Maybe if the nose were not cut off it would help, but there is something about where the head joins the neck that looks strange.

Bold: just what horses do when you try to take their picture.

i dont like the blur around the edges of the picture and along the nose. but otherwise, i love the composition and the contrast of the colors between the horse and the sky. well done.

I love the processing. The crop would usually bother me...having the nose cut off, but I really like it here. It totally works for this shot. It's a great angle and comp too. Nice. 9.
