 Taken walking on the beach near Santa Cruz. The only interesting dirt I could find.

Many peole had a trouble seeing what this was. If you rotate it 90deg CCW so the tips are at the top, you can see more readily that it is erosion patterns in the beach sand.

Interesting pattern and texture. But even with the title, it doesn't look or feel like dirt, maybe a more brown hue would help?

Very nice abstract. Interesting color tone as well. Only minor complaint is the far right edge should have been cloned back just 10 pixels or so. Good luck in the challenge.

Patterns in sand? Quite beautiful. Looks like horses galloping into the distance. It might be good to crop just a touch closer to get rid of the intrusions at the right hand side. ~8

Great capture of a natural texture. Extra points because it is a very neat "find" in nature, but overall the picture itself falls down. There just isn't enough there at the end of the day. 6

I see it rotated one click left, and call it "Dirt Fire". Hard to scale this one as to inches or miles, but it's well done. The shadows make it work.
