Went on a street shooting spree in downtown Charleston with a goal of both dirt and for sale. Pretty much straight out of the camera. Just adjusted contrast a bit to pop red. This was taken at a mule stable. Didn't have a tripod, and had to shoot in pretty low light, so may get comments about not being sharp enough.

Well I like the composition, and I think it is a valid entry for Dirt. I've seen enough dirt to fill in the blanks, and these tools create a lot of blanks. The broom for ________ (floor dirt and sand), The scrub brush for _________ (dirty fur or walls), the forks for _________ (animal dirt), the squeegees for _________ (dirty water and/or windows). Actually you got more dirt into your shot that anyone else in the challenge.

As I said in my earlier comment, I like the color. The red wall with the red broom , and the touch of red on the squeegee contribute a lot to the composition. If it were my shot, I think I might take out the red on the fork handle.

I really thought this would have done a little better. I gave it a 6. I realize there is no actual dirt in this shot but they are impliments of dirt. Since you had advanced editing, I wonder if this would have looked better in B&W or sepia. Just a thought.

too much in the photo, try a photo with just one rake instead of everything

show me the clumps of real dirt, spread it out, then use your tools to clean it up. oh, you don't have a shovel, I see (no shovel).

I would have given this a very high score, if one just had some, just a little pile of compost or dirt somewhere. I really love this composition of this one.....

Too static. A creative approach, but just doesn't have much appeal as a photograph outside of the challenge. 4

Good idea, and I like the simple color scheme.

While it somewhat meets the challenge description, the overall composition is somewhat uninspired. The image itself is also a little soft on focus.
