Cute shot. The placement of your critter is perfect. Good background and lighting is good. The only thing that is not spot on for me is the soil colour, it would've looked better if it were darker I think.

I like the touches of green in the foreground and how they play off the background. Good job getting the little guy to sit still.

Seems more about the squirrell than about dirt. Think about which would make the better picture, the squirrel without the dirt, or the dirt without the squirrel.

harsh light likely from shooting near midday. Composition works. The title is a bit on the goofy side. 5
