Your photo is well composed and very moving. I saw too much of this during the years I lived and worked in NYC. I understand the people who are just walking by. It's terrible that we become so hardened to this sort of suffering. This image says a lot. |

Chris,
I gave this a 7 when voting. I thought it was very well composed, especially for street (my favorite type of photography, but very difficult, I know). Obviously, it was the lack of focus that kept me from scoring it higher. You didn't miss on the emotive or message, though, and thus it is a strong photo in my opinion even with the slight blur. Great job. |

The title combined with the photograph is very compelling. I know taking photographs on the street like this is difficult but you should do more of it. |

Chris: I REALLY like the composition. Just try to get your main subject in crisp focus. Use focus to help the viewer know where to look. |

This is so moving to me. Wonderfully emotive but I wish the focus was spot on as well. |

I almost passed this over and gave it a 5, thinking "just another homeless shot," but then I realized how perfect the composition is. The man is truly isolated in the middle of all this clamor. 8 |

Blurry, it almost looks out of focus. The depth seems to be lacking in the same note. |

Great pic, if only it was a bit sharper! |

Technicals: very soft. Conversion to B&W is below average. There needs to be more contrast and the exposure is probably overexposed overall.
Feel: Does capture the isolation of the homeless well. The backs of the passers-by helps with that. Death? Not without the title.
Score: 4 |

Good shot regarding the composition, but it seems out of focus to me. |
