WOW, 8th place, I'm thrilled.

This little fellow had not been very cooperative but finally I gave him a little move with my camera and it caught his attention enough to give me a quick shot. I asked him to turn his other ear around but he didn't want to. lol. I personally thought that gave the shot a little more character.

I swithced it to b&W, lightened it slightly, and then cropped it.

Nice detail and sharpness of the subject anf the soft background is just right to keep the portrait to the foreground. Wow!

Very good photo. Good use of black and white. Perhaps you cropped it a little bit too tight around the ears. Well done. Good luck

Amazing shot - and wonderful, wonderful toning in the b&w processing. Hope you do really well on this. You're getting a 10 from me, in any case =)

Thats pretty close up - almost feels too close or cropped too tightly IMO. Good detail and a pleasant image overall. Maybe lacking some good wow power.

I like the shallow depth of field and the use of black and white.

Is this Rudolph warming up? I know it can't be fixed for this contest rules, but my eyes dive right on the highlights on the nose. Bummer, but otherwise an exceptional photo of a beautiful creature. I will not drop the scoring for the highlights as it was not something you could control to get the pic. B&W is right for this too good choice.

The detail of this photo is astounding and the depth of field is excellent. A wish for a perfect shot would be that both years are perked forward. That split second timing for ear movement is difficult, but this photo a tremendous capture. 9.

if the ears weren't touching the sides of the image this would be an even stronger animal portrait than it is. great tones. -7-
