Julia, you must set the correct date and time on your camera, also you need to say wich cameras do you own, so when you are asked for validation you will not be DQ`d for an "incorrect" exif data... And you really need to retain your original unedited files (whenever you are going to edit an image, made a copy and work on it, exif can show if you have edited your image) You will be asked for validation if someone thinks you made an ilegal editing or you picture place in the first places (I don`t remember if the first 5 or 10).
This is a really nice picture, you have a lot of talent and I hope you will keep submitting, just be sure to be doing it the right way so you will not have more bad moments like this.
Good Luck! |

is your computer that big a mess that you cannot find the original?
I allways make a subfolder 'processed' in the folder with the original files, so you allways know where your originals are.
and back up baby! ;-)
it's a shame though, I liked the picture :-) |

It's a really atmospheric photo, befitting the period you try to evoke - but I think you mean the 19th century (i.e. the 1800s), as there would have been no grave yard like that along the Tweed in the 1790s. ;>þ |
oh...woops.
well i must have read the sign wrong. cuz it said 18thcentury |

Yes, I once processed an outdoor shot where everything but the dress of the model was desaturated (and skintones actually too, since the dress matched the skintones) and it was legal in basic. My feeling is that it's pretty rare for a shot to be like this - without some tiny spots of color in the desaturated bits - but I do know it's possible. |

wonderful mysterious shot.
the only thing i don't like about it, is that she is looking into the camera and that her back is so round, sort of distracts from the rather high tension in the photo. just my opinion, nice photography though |

Love the way the red stands out against the sepia tones! Kinda spooky.... I also like the softness - it helps exaggerate the eerie feel - Nicely done. |

I wonder if this will ribbon. It is wonderfully amazingly beautiful... the processing is magical. Only thing that keeps it from being a perfect image to me (but didn't keep it from a perfect score) is the diagonal line at the bottom left... sort of breaks up the background a little. The soft effect at the edges and a dramatic desaturation like this is great to see in a basic editing challenge. |

This is a wonderfully mystical and sinisterly enchanted image! The red is a wonderful lead, one of the few times I've seen selective saturation REALLY work well. Maybe lost a bit of detail in the shadows, but that's an almost insignificant pick. One of my favorites for sure! 8o) |
