 Taken after a freezing rain coated everything in a thin coating of ice. What I like about this shot is the way that the sun looks through the clouds, and the contrast between simplicity and complexity, saturation and desaturation, and the feeling of warmth and cold.

PP: shot raw, converted to radiance RGB and then back to 8 bit Jpg in photomatrix, cropped, adjusted saturation, brightness/contrast, despeckle, USM, resize, clone out sensor dust, submit
