When the present feels too complicated, and the future uncertain, only the past can bring you comfort.

Either that, or television.

Post-contest Update:
The reflection in her glasses was actually the point of the image - she's trying to relive the past (the doll, samovar, etc.) through objects of the present (television).

Could have definitely been done in a more effective way.

The women should be brighter. THe way it is, the doll is grabbing my attention. I can't make out the details in the women's face, so m eyes wonder back to the doll.

I like the idea, I have a hard time trying to figure out what to focus on thought & the reflection of the tv (i'm guessing) is distracting, imo. just my 2 cents

I think this might be composed a little better if she wasn't right on the edge of the photo. It would have had a more natural flow if you hadn't cut off part of her ear and the top of her hair.

I'm not sure if this was your intent, but the reflected TV in her glasses gives the image a lonely and sad feel
