Taken at the exact same spot as my recent "Postcard II" entry, I used a tripod and didn´t move it, just turned to the left. There was actually just one frame taken between them to help me frame it better as the scene was hard to make out in the dark, this shot is nr 3783 but the postcard shot was 3781.

Don´t like this photo as much as the Postcards entry but this was a likely candidate for that challenge, an "Outtake" so to speak. Hate entering two shots from the same shoot though but I have been real busy this month so it was either this or to not submit at all, hope it won´t do too badly in the challenge and that people don´t realize it´s mine.

Editing was very similar to the postcard entry, mainly just raw conversion stuff and seperate curves adjustments on the sky and the foreground and then curves on the whole shot.

The "sunrise" is not sunrise at all but ambient lighting coming from Reykjavik, this shot is taken at 1:20 am.

Wohoo! REALLY didn´t expect this ribbon, that´s what makes this site so much fun :) Too bad though, was going to make it one of my goals for 2007 to ribbon in a free study, guess I´ll have to find a new goal now... What a fun problem to have :)

Threw the two photos together so people can see how they match.

Great score Larus, congrats on the ribbon...thanks also for the explanation and the data on the shot...any room for an Aussie/Italian at your place in Iceland? Can leave the wife and kids behind if I can come across and get shots like this. They won't even know I am gone!
