 This was inspired by those scented orange things people make for christmas. Couldnt find any cloves at the store next door but I got some nails.. They looked cooler in the apple, and I kinda wanted to eat the orange after the shoot...they did the trick. I wanted to do a little bit of experimenting with lighting and still-life images in the last few days, and this was one of the products. Its lit with a bluish led flashlight covered with paper towel, and a contraption I made with blue christmas lights.

Overall pict. is too dark. Need to bring the shadow levels up.

Industrial fruit! This one is out of the box, that's for sure. I really like it, blue lights and all.

Seems a bit pointless.... (ha ha, get it?) I'm pretty much a newbie here, though, so take my comments with a grain of salt - just 'cause I'm being critical doesn't mean I think MY stuff is doing any better! Good luck!

It's a good idea, but the image is too dark - I can't really see the orange.

Without the title could miss the orange - too much light on apple.

nice shot, but what about the diagonal axis?

I didn't see the orange until I read the title. That corner is just too dark. I don't get the meaning of this.

Lighting is a bit harsh and uneven; don't really get the point (ha) of the nails in the apple.

The lighting really doesn't work for me. If it weren't for the title I wouldn't have known there was an orange in the shot. Interesting idea with the apple by the way.
