 I saw my blinds and the sun the other day during Thanksgiving mayhem and thought hey thats diagonal so here you go. Went back to my D50 for this one :), I miss the remote trigger for SP's. Selective color, hue saturation, curve, channel mixer in monochrome and faded opacity to 12%, shadows/highlight layer, USM then resized to 640 and sharpened again. Save for Web. My guess is the winner will have an invisble diagonal line, we'll see.
Post challenge: Well I guess I was wrong :P. Thanks for all the comments.

The shadow detracts me somehow. I like it cropped square, but it's a good subject and light play.

This is a funny entry. The subject is not really diagonal. Most of the images that resort to a diagonal feel in the background are not working all that well, but this one does. I think it is because the shadows go over the face, and make the shadows so much more than just a beautiful background. ~8
