 Took this idea from a Rikki image I had come across over on eyefetch. This is our pet betta Dorothy who unwillingly posed for me. Had to use a qtip to push her into place. I love the color and gradient - worked hard to get it clean. It might be a bit too much for some but I like it alot. I have been staring at this image all week so I might just be oblivious to the obvious flaws. I am sure people will let me know.

Now had I known Aimee could make an awesome tuxedo for kermit my image would have been of Kermit sitting at a card table playing poker with his martini glass in hand. ALas, it did not happen as Aimee got an awesome image of Kermit after I had finished up this one. I expect her score to crush mine and easily break into the top 10.

It might be slightly DNMC but what can you do. The glass is reminiscent of Bond and the title is a shoehorn. We shall see how cranky the voters are.

PP - RAW - the usual stuff. In PS - layered out the glass, cloned out the seam of the two poster boards and heavily gaussian blurred the background, cloning to clean up inside the glass, hue/saturation, levels, selective color, USM, NI, burning and dodging, spot blurring, resize and border.

Similar lighting and tonings to your "life" image, but just a good in IMO....

Even with the title, I missed the fish/beta the first time around. I did wonder what it was, but moved on. Seeing it the second time give you a bump.

Ok, I'm familiar with the movie title, but haven't seen it. Is there really a fish in a martini glass? I think you're having a little fun here aren't you? :D It's actually a pretty cool photo and it's one of my top picks for this challenge. You did a nice job with the lighting and it's certainly sharp enough. Should do ok for you both in the challenge and as a print or stock photo. Good luck.

Great lighting with sense of light.. i like the sensuality and the composition it is amazing that most of the pics here are better than what I would compose myself. I would love to have some shake though in this ..

Superb lighting and composition. Goldfin so I suppose this is a fish in the glas? Sorry, but I can't recognize it because it's to dark.
