 Bought flowers for the shoot, and was able to give them to my wife. I'm so thoughtful.

taken in raw. converted in PS, adjusting WB, tint, brightness. Added curves layer, setting white point. Selected background and made as white as possible (tough to correct mix of flash and tungsten. Flattened image. Resized and added border. USM at large radius to boost contrast, then USM at small radius (large percent) for final sharpening. Last minute change: added hue/sat layer to slightly desaturate color overall to help meet challenge expectations.

Very nice. The flower has a distinct texture that brings out details that the eye wouldn't really pick up. Further sharpening on the stamen would have added the extra depth that is otherwise pulled in by the petal. The photos definately makes me think I can "feel" the flower.

This is nice. Very good details in the flower. I may have to check out some Lilies in the future, they're quite photogenic. :D Good luck in the challenge.
