 A lonely shoe, missing its mate. Used a white poster board as background with 3 halogen lamps for lighting. Shot in color, converted to grayscale, adjusted brightness, contrast, and levels, cropped, and then added border.

Not really lonely, but certainly all alone and the title is a nice pun. I like the lighting and the white background. The thread or whatever it is should probably add character, but to me it is just distracting.

Cute title, nice fresh image. Contrast is excellent, as is focus. Lighting is good in general but it takes away from the solitude/loneliness aspect for me - I'm not getting either of those feelings from the photo. Composition is good, not sure if a different pose might help convey the 'all alone'-ness even deeper or not. I do find that bit of string a distractant since everything else is pristine - really stands out. 7

what a sensuous shoe all worn and patent shiny. I love the light on the toe and the small shadow. alone is a stretch- but kudos for cleverness.

Pos .. LOL funny! I love the white. The composition is just right - great focus and the tiny shadow is effective.

Neg .. I don't like where the back right part of the shoe is bleached out.
