The irony is this is the FIRST piucture of a flower i have ever taken and I just entered it to see if people would like it. And they did!
I shot using a soft box to get the backlighting with a single light out front.

They look transparent. It is light on white. There is something "not real" about this image, was it intentional? I'm on the fence as to wether it works or not. ~6

you have to tell me, what was your lighting setup? I love the backlight, making the flowers almost translucent. I had wanted to do this very same thing, but was unsuccessful in getting it to work. please share.
