Pretty photo! Great focus, fits the challenge rather well. Love the contrasting colors. I wish the image was a little brighter, or if not overall, have the background dark as it currently is, and a shaft of light on the flower. Very nice capture. 7

Crop, some noice reduction and maybe a some accent on the violet would really make this much better.

Finally a flower shot that actually meets the challenge imo. Probably because it is "looking" down or the fact that it isn't a macro (thank god). The leaf on the right is a little distracting imo...

Nice use of depth of field, but having the flower in the center is a bit over powering.

For me, the flower is too centered. If it was framed off to one side of to one corner I would like it more. The contrast of the flower to the green is ecellent however. It really makes the flower stand out.

poor thing... it does look lonely. Nice colors... I'm not sure about the composition, it's not bad, I'm just wondering if it would look better if it was different.
