| Excellent focus on the '59, my eye moves right to it - well done. Ironic touch of "year you were born" taken from what might have been a tombstone. Simple and effective. I like it. |

| Nice DOF, and a simple photo that by itself is ok. For the challenge I think you missed the point a little. "...photograph something that defined the year you were born." Was granite etching symbolic of 1959? Hmmm... Good luck in the challenge. |

| Decent take on photographing a date in stone, but I lose the meaning that this date has. I need more context to apply a feel, a mood or a story to the numbers. Gravestone? Monument? Building marker? 4 |

| Now that is following the rules! I don't know if you could have stopped down a bit more to get the 19 in focus too, but then again that probably would have been just a flat photo with no debth...never mind you did it right. |
