I have the impression it will be bombarded here, but I need to test the waters, anyway. :)

Bottom-up shot from a building at University Ave.

PP: levels, brightness/contrast, hue/sat/lighting, color balance, curves + curves and more curves.
Re-size, USM, save for web.

I like the idea but not the post processing

A pity, to my eye, that your processing has taken this so very far away from the ordinary 'photograph'. Apart from the fact that this isn't a place that repays such looks with any kindness, I would suggest it detracts from the interesting visual phenomenon of that 'X'.

If the horizontal and vertical lines were properly lined, this would be great. Makes me want to lean to one side when I look at it :)
