This veteran was part of the lead group for the 2006 New York Veterans Day parade. My family was visiting New York for the weekend with my dad and stepmom. We were on our way into a store on 5th Avenue when I realized the street was completely empty.
Imagine one of the busiest streets with absolutely no traffic.
I thought it was very photogenic, so I snapped a few shots. Then the motorcycle group came up the street. One shot of that was my B&W III entry.
As they got closer, I started panning with them, yielding this shot. At larger sizes, you can just make me out in the reflections in the chrome. :)
