 This picture was taken on Del Mar, CA from another hot air balloon. As a resident of the very busy and hectic city of Los Angeles, being alone with my thoughts can sometimes be a challenge in itself. There's nothing like a sunset balloon flight to help one escape life for a few hours and be all alone.

Beautiful image. I really like the range of colors, quite vivid. Like the silhouette aspect as well. Nothing I would really change, has a nice tranquil feel. 8

Good... I like the Silhouette of the balloon, but I think just a touch of detail of the balloon would be better.

I love this shot.!! The sky is amazing. The silhouette I feel is what makes this shot work. If you had captured any detail / color in the balloon the shot would have been lost. If you have ever been up in a balloon you are truly all alone. Coming to you from the balloon capital of the world ......( Albuquerque NM)

I think I am looking to the blue ribbon here! Is not easy too say as there are so many wonderful photos around... But the more the better... will just increase the merit of this one as to be so beautiful among so many beauties! 10 and congratulations.

That is something I would love to do to get away. Is that mountains that sun is going behind or thick clouds? I'm guessing the former but it's gorgeous either way.

Nicely done. I especially like how the sunset has the same shape as the balloon. To pick a nit: maybe crop it so the balloon were more in the up-right corner to provide more balance with the sunset. I'd hate to lose that cloud, though. Nice job getting the balloon so sharp. It's almost like you cut the shape out of the picture.

awesome. great colours, wonderful silhouette. Feels very 'upbeat' for an 'alone' theme.
