1982 is the year AIDs was discovered. I tried a number of different ideas for this concept, but my simplest shot seemd to fit best. I adjusted the levels and saturation to give it a stronger look. I tried to make the ribbon somewhat tattered.

i know you were going for the darkness, but i think there are too many shadows in it. i would also center it more

Love the way this is slightly off centre and the black background gives it real impact.

I find the ribbon looks out of focus - at least on my monitor

Seems OOF, but apart from that, this is such a well-known, obvious graphic, that you needed to have been bolder in using it, or more technical in creating a crisp image...it bothers me that the tips of the ribbon are not centred.

I suppose I am naive, but I didn't know what the red loop ribbon stood for until I saw it in context on another image. The image itself is nice with a strong graphic quality to it. The composition is good and the processing works. I'm bothered by the wrinkles and inperfections in the cloth, yet believe that may be part of the message. The lack of context left it average for me. 5

I think this would work for me more is if it were lit better and in focus.

Seen the ribbon so much I would have loved to see it against a harsh b/w backdrop, 5.

Nice choice of subject. I like the slightly ragged edges of the ribbon in places.
