I had bookmarked this shot. Needed to know where or how you got it! Now I know! Bravo! |

Think you did fine here. The border really pulled it all together. Very patriotic. Nice crop as well... :)

I like the composition but the harsh light killed it. It looks so flat with all that direct flash light. Increasing ISO, slowing down the shutter, and opening up the apeture (smaller f-number) (with a tripod) would have really made this a great shot I think. |

this is a bit blurry and not very creative. I am guessing u don't have these in your cupboard, so it must b taken from a magazine or something... |

I like the idea and framing, but the gold colors look a bit harsh |

The close up of these amazing Gold Medals is lost in the brightness, the detail is there but just seems over-sharpened or over-saturated with color. |

Hmmm, yes it meets the challenge criteria, and it is cropped well, and it has interesting grain and colour, but it doesn't tell a story as such: I am not emotionally moved by the picture...it doesn't hold my interest...maybe a lack of mystery, story, detail that invites the viewer to spend some time looking at it...? |

I'm intrigued with where you got ahold of the gold medals and how you were able to photograph them. In a museum, perhaps? Nice layout and composition. The lighting is reasonable. I'd love to see more of the story than this layout allows. 6 |

Very nice, I wish it was a little sharper, detailed. I think maybe your ISO was a little high. or it's out of focus |

Truly bittersweet that year! However, I learned much about other countries...like Vasilli Alexiev, the Russian world record holding weight lifter whose tanktop looked like a thong on the upper torso (He could have been a sumo wrestler, too, if he had wanted to be...I am quite sure) and Nadia Comaneche, sweet little gymnast, who was probably my first famous person crush...I know...in unison...Awwwwwwww! :} |

OK, where did you get 7 gold medals from 1972? |

Where did you find the medals, in a museum? |

Quite certainly meets the challenge, though I think I would have cropped this a bit wider. |

Where did you get the medals? I like the composition but would have preferred lighting that eliminated the harsh shadows. |
