Punny, assuming you meant "Iceland." But not so interesting visually. Keep trying different ideas, though! :)

I'm not sure I understand this one. Would benefit from a frame.

It looks some kind of cells under a microscope.

I dont really get it, but the text looks nice.

are those slugs?? That's what it looks like...not sure I'd go there
11/24/2006 01:25:36 PM
Is this s'posed to be "Iceland"? Love the shot...
11/23/2006 07:45:29 AM
Looks like something I would see in a microscope. Does not evoke a "Greetings" image

Weird - I can't work out what I am looking at. The photo doesn't seem to meet the challenge, at least on the face of it.
Edit - On reflection my earlier comment seems a bit harsh - I still can't work out what the photo is of (a cross between lips and translucent underwater slugs...?), but it is strangely hypnotic. As a postcard that is a souvenir, I feel it doesn't really work, but think it might be better without the text, just as a standard card.

Did you mean Iceland, or am I missing something? I like the photo, but in this challenge there is very tough competition.

What is this, Man-o-wars?
11/22/2006 09:19:56 AM
Cute idea, bonus points for humor, but i had to mark you down on spelling.... it's Iceland.
11/21/2006 04:08:17 PM
I don't see a postcard in this photo - maybe I am missing the point of the photo
11/21/2006 08:10:53 AM
Is this ice? I am not sure of what/why I am looking at this? If it was Ice land....it would make sense, but island?
11/21/2006 02:25:47 AM
well, that's an unexpected take, you've left me slightly confused...
11/20/2006 11:39:14 PM
you mean "Iceland"? Nice idea, but lacks of contrast, color looks "wrong" to me, icecubes are hardly recognizable
11/20/2006 02:58:50 PM
I don't get it!
11/20/2006 12:13:30 PM
huh? is this supposed to be Iceland (looks like ice cubes). gets a 2 for poor quality all around.
11/20/2006 10:11:26 AM
I don't dilike this shot..not at all, in fact it's really good to look at..I am a bit confused by the title. Island is a place or did you mean 'the' island? I'm not sure the vast DPCer will get this but the shot is really good with the blue tones.
11/20/2006 05:45:17 AM
I'm guessing you mean Iceland? If so, thats the kinda lame/funny (sort of) joke you do get on postcards, nice! :P
11/20/2006 04:15:17 AM
Is this a play on words? Iceland vs Island? While I like it from a macro perspective, I don't think it makes the best postcard. 5.
11/20/2006 04:14:48 AM
what is that??? ice??? not sure that I get the idea here ... sorry ...
11/20/2006 12:14:13 AM
I dont get it....
11/19/2006 10:30:36 PM
I don't get it. 8(

Creative with nice lighting, but it really isn't what I had in mind for the challenge.

Hare to tell what these things are.
