 post challenge note: Sorry all, I didn't read the challenge details well enough, I didn't see that text could be added to it.


Taken the morning of 19 November here in Okinawa, Japan. Ironically enough this is the day after we had a freak tornado come through the base (see my shots on www.sabphotography.com). Amazing how God will destroy then give us back this beauty.
I was almost late for work photographing this beauty, it would have been worth it. :)

shot with CP filter attached to give additional f-stops
convert from RAW in camera
brightness, color saturation and midtones adjusted in Microsoft Office Picture Viewer (I know how lame but it's all I had here at work)
slight crop and resize

Increase your depth of field to get a sharper photo. Great timing on the shot though. Set up is great.

Nice photo. Maybe a little soft, but I really like the way you've captured the sun as it falls/rises under/over the rocks (not sure if sunrise or sunset). As for the postcard component of this challenge - why not place some text on the photograph? Trying to sell the message in your title kind of defeats the special clause in this challenge IMO. Again, that's JMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Nice sunset/sunrise. Hopefully the flip side would have conveyed the message you are using as a title. I think some text would have enhanced this image in the challenge criteria (postcard). Score: 7.

I love the reflection of the light off of the water. I would have like to see a little less sky and a little more beach. Also I would like to see the sun on the right third...a little less close to the middle. It could have added a bit more of a leading line from the water on the left to the sun. 7
