What I love about this image is the super usage of black. The lines and that pop of red make for an interesting view. |

The dark pavement vs. the bright sky hurts my eyes a little...but I like how the posts kinds of make a "frame" and lead my eye straight to the gal with the bright umbrella in the middle of the shot. |

I bet this one was difficult because of the extreme range in gamut between subjects and background. The shadows seem to have lost their detail and I don't know that there's much anyone could have done about a grey/white blownout sky. But I like the composition and reflections, but maybe back off in the contrast a bit. |

I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve but in an odd way it works. The lack of contrast to both the top and bottom of the picture does draw the eye to the center. I might have cropped in a horizontal way but thats just IMO. |

It's really dark, buttt.... if you still have the .raw file you could HDR process and really bring out some parts like the buildings in the background and even create detail in the dark areas. |
