| Gorgeous blue. It really offsets the stark colors of the bird. The spread wings give a sense of drama and the perspective gives a nice height to the image. I can really feel a solitude here. Focus is pretty good, wish the bird was a little sharper though. The natural light brightens everything up, but it does seem too harsh in the sky and a bit on the white feathers. A good photo overall though. 6 |

| Be careful: the first impression when I look at this photo is that it i stilted: the horizon is...horizontal actually, but there is a line on the top right of the image that gives the optical impression that the whole photo is tilted. You may try to correct it. |

Great shot!! I think the solid background made this work. I dont think I would have liked it as much if any land were showing. Makes me think the poor thing is way out at sea looking for a sailboak mast to lite on.

| What is the thick black line on the top? It is a bit distracting..is it a powerline? |

| Nice placement of the gannet within the shot. Overall, the image is a put too soft. A sharper head and a sharper horizon would have added to the photo. |
