to give an all alone vision i would suggest maybe trying the photo again but trying to take it with out the reflection of the flame ... techinically the flame isnt alone with it's shadow ... there really isnt and impact with the image .. it's kinda boring to me. |

Nice vivid color, the focus is a bit soft but it works for the image. Its a good image, but I don't connect with it much. Fits the challenge generally, but I don't get a feeling of solitude or loneliness 5. |

Beautiful portrait of a candle that, to me at least, does convey a sense of solitude. Perhaps because it is a single candle viewed from an angle that a person using it for meditation would use; I don't know. But I like it. Good composition and exposure. My only complaint is that I find the bits of old wick and the dust at the right edge rather distracting. Removing them would have made a better image. |

i like the reflection in the wax, but overall, not a very exciting subject. perhaps if you saw a bit of the room it was in. or added a silohuette or some essense of a person to add intrigue. |
