 i liked how the puddle matched the shape of the leaf. it's a puddle on a recently stained deck.

Totally agree with how pleasing the repetative leaf shape is in this composition - great eye!

as though the SOUL of the leaf is trying to escape its body.. another battle between essence and existence.... oh wait... its a leaf in water :) cool shot

cool, the puddle is almost the same shape as the leaf. would this have been the way the water melted off the leaf after the frost warmed up? nice framing and composition...

Nice image! I like all the different textures shown. The orange leaf against the dark background really makes the image pop too. Fits alone, there is a bit of a lonely feel of it to me. Good lighting, nice focus. Put together a very sound image. Well done. 8

Wonderful shot! I like the idea that everything is greyish, only the leaf is yellow-brown, and the similar shaped water touched me, too. Maybe the stem of the leaf is a bit close to the margin of the picture. But I think this time I give you 10, for all the touching soul and the technics in this photo, congrats!
