 I got two packets of smarties sweeties and froze them so that they would not have to much of a sheen on them, then I put them all together as close as possible and the result is what you see.

To me, this would make a fun background yet lacks any real focal point. The black space between the candies does form an interesting pattern however.

Maybe it's the lighting, but this seems flat. The subject is "ok", but not anything really exciting to look at. JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
