to me, this is nothing more than a snapshot ... would have worked better for me if you'd cropped out the rest of the people ...

Thank you... this was truly a gift from God because I didn't think I was going to look at any more DPC stuff tonight, and then I ended up at the free study and this shot happened to be the very first I saw (and the last one tonight, as I want to go to bed with this image fresh in my mind). I needed to hear the message "smile" and this image is so beautiful, such a beautiful expression of that smile idea. Gorgeous colors and lighting, but especially the childhood innocence, the carefree attitude that this image expresses... I have been having an extremely rough past few days and your shot is a bright ray of hope... I have had encouraging words spoken to me from friends and that has been very wonderful but there is also something to be said for a visual reminder of how wonderful life can be. Thank you so very much for touching my life... I know that might sound overly sappy or sentimental but I really do mean it.
