Well done Brian. I really liked this one, but there were quite a lot of really good Black & White images in this challenge.

I like this picture but I fin the drop shadow border is distracting (I keep looking at the border rather than whats inside of it). If you do opt for a border in the future I would suggest keeping it really simple and plain.

In terms of the picture itself I like how you used the corner post to tie the image together visually. The fence draws your eye into the picture creating a nice feeling of depth.

There is some interesting elements in the picture without it being too busy. (the fence, the tree/post, the pair of trees in the background; the nicely contrasted clouds in the sky).

I like the composition, but the border doesn't justify it. Without the frame the impact would have come over more.

I like this alot. It has a greeting card kind of feel for me for some reason. I've always loved compositions with old fences in pastoral country scenes. Nice light and shadows!

I would have liked a little more of the road included to give the feeling of "going somewhere". Clouds are nice, but the foliage is a little dark. Your border technique is very interesting, but not sure it adds to the photo.

I'm not sure about the border but I guess it will get a 50 / 50 responce. However the picture is great. 7

Nice composition with the road and fence positioning. It appears that a deeper aperture could have been used to bring the distant tree into sharper focus. Overall this has a very nice feel to it. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Great shot. I don't like the shaded portion of the border but I don't count off for borders. 9.
