I did my own merge of three images shot bracketed in raw mode. I just couldn't get HDR to work in PS.

I converted to TIFF. Layered the three exposures aligning them and changing opacity. Then flattened it all and did some adjustments to saturation, burning and dodging and sharpening. Resized, USM, border.

Who knows, maybe it will bomb...can I expect a high 5???

POST: well I got my high 5. I guess I am happy with that. Looking at the other images above me, well, in light of some of them I thought this would do a little better...but that's the way it goes. Maybe we've had too many images of flowers around here.

I love the little murano glass bowl we got from Venice and the way the fallen petals look like a painting with this effect.

I too thought this excellent photo would finish much much higher. I gave it a nine and thought it would finish in at least in the top ten. Excellent clarity and range even though you couldn't get the HDR to work. Good job.

Oh man. . .this is one of my favorites in this challenge! I am truly stunned that this one isn't one of your best scores -- even for your high scoring average! It's so striking! One of my favorite flower shots of all time!

Really meets the challenge by allowing the available light to illuminate the flowers in the foreground while not blowing out the greenery outside.

I was wondering if anyone would do something like this what with all the talk of mundane landscape shots. This is a really great example of what HDR can be used for in a non-LSD inspired fashion. The details through the window aren't overexposed, the still life is not a shadowed mess. Nice job and good luck.

The background is somewhat distracting to me as well as how the table at the bottom isn't parallel to (or out of) the shot. However I love the colors and the fact that you presented dying flowers in a lovely way.

How pretty!!!! As little as I know about HDR, this is an obvious display of the range of light, color, and shadows. And the 3-dimensional focus is nothing short of stunning! Beuatiful photography!

Nice shot, think certain things are lost in the flowers though.

My favourite of this challenge. The lighting and basic composition are quite pleasant. I think you could do even better in this line of still life photography.

Wonderful still life! Beautiful colors and range... it looks very vintage... makes me think of fond memories of visiting grandparents on a warm summer day... a top pick... good luck!
