 I doubt anyone will catch the little bird at the bottom of the tree, but little details like that really spark my interest.

I thought it might as well, but more importantly I had fun taking it. It probably is a shot that needs more attention to appreciate, as opposed to the few seconds (if that) it might get in a challenge with 500+ entries. Thanks for the sentiment.

I really thought this would do much better (I had given this one a 9...), but the competition was extremely tough as well. A powerful image in its own right no matter how it placed in this challenge!

this might be slightly more powerful if you bring out the trees in the back JUST A WEE BIT - not too much just to make them a little more prominant. 8

I think this would have been better with a wider view of the tree - as it is, this more of the tre trunk. I see the fog, so maybe it was not possible on this prticular day.
