I used to live in Canterbury and have some wonderful pictures inside the crypt before realizing that this is not allowed so I treasure those pics I managed to get. Makes me home sick. Great image.

Clevon, I had the tripod attached to my backpack when I went in. No problem. Whilst taking the pictures, two priests and a couple of the guides with the orange ribbon passed me. Noone said anything. I've also been in there with a monopod, the guides are always really friendly and eager to tell you some details of whatever you've just taken a photograph of. Just remember that you're not allowed to take pictures in the crypt under the choir. |

Awesome picture, although I have to ask, did you get asked about taking a tripod?
Because I live fairly nearby and I was not allowed a tripod into the building, a bit bummed about it.
How did you get the colours to be more grey and dramatic rather than bright and yellow from the lights?

While, this picture is beautifully done, and well deserving of the ribbon it won, I am still not sure what HDR is. :-) Could someone please define the term for me so I can sleep tonight?
Thanx!

It's very gothic, not only because of the architecture itself, but the extra tones you added. |

Good demonstration of HDR, consider perspective correction for verticals, or straight ahead angle with crop for straighter verticals. I like the colors on the altar and the priest/person behind. |

Very cool! This is a nitpick but I almost wish the green and yellow cloth had been desaturated a bit so it wasn't so bright...it makes it difficult to look at the rest of the image which is so beautiful. Nicely done otherwise. |

Ummmm.... wow. Beautiful. My only nitpick is that it seems, when I look at the two windows in the very back (center) it seems like things are not aligned, which I think is very visually important in shots like this... regardless, that is a nitpick, as I said, and I think this is a gorgeous shot. |
