as usual, compositionally this is quite nice. the BW conversion is also good. where it loses points for me is in the obvious burning of the background, and the use of USM to compensate for it being slightly out of focus. The strands of hair to the right of the photo show lots of artifacts...a sign of over sharpening. next time re-shoot it instead of trying to fix it in PP ;)
a decent entry and fair score either way. I likes it.

I like the boxed in sense. Not wild about the textured background. I'd have scooted him away from the wall further. |
