I came to your profile when I read your forum request to fix the baby's photo (a noble request indeed - sorry I have VERY little Photoshop knowledge). Anyway, you got ripped-off on this one. Of course since "advanced editing" was the rules, people wanted to see the dramatic. And a photo with a doorway behind you - Lions and tigers and bears - O' my!! We're all going to die! I like photos that look like I took a photo during life!! (There are doorways in life, correct?) The expression on your face is GREAT. It says, "I'm not sure if I want to do this - well maybe - then again..." You didn't use Photoshop to make your eyes "pop" out of the photo - good for you. They're beautiful the way they are. Cropping so the top and bottom is missing REALLY works well here and the door way gives the photo a feeling of "home". You did an excellent job on this and I love straight from the camera work. I can't wait to see what you'll have instore for us next!! Take care of yourself. :) Ray

Calling attention to age then using bright light to accentuate rather than hide the signs. Brave. I like the composition and statement.

may i be the first to wish you a happy birthday? i will tell you this image, except for the white-ish thing along the bottom edge is very good! i also would have preferred to NOT see the window/doorway behind you too. but lighting seems to match the mood you show here. all that to say, a 7!!

Simple face shot, low/flat lighting, lots of noise in the background.

Looks like this could have been quite a 'coy' image, but fails due to the quality of light and the distracting background (walls/door opening of the room).

Try reshooting with a soft light off to one side, darkness/shadows off to the opposite and from an above angle where more bedding (or skin if you wish) is viewable and the room is not taking away from the allure of the image.
