 so i had an idea, and then afterwards realized what i had gotten myself into. it seemed simple, but in the end was sort of like being tortured.

my head is completely covered in paper mache. very cold, very spooky ( breathing was hindered ), very cold. when i stood up i thought the dogs were going to kill me - barking - growling - very nervous.

thanks to jess for having so much fun paper mache'ing my head ! it was a bitch to wash off.

flash set on floor in front of me. newspaper thing i made taped to wall next to me.

curves adjustment layer, levels adjustment layer, hue saturation adjustment layer. some masking of the adjustment layers. sharpen full res image. resize. create border. sharpen web res. create mask - sharpen eye area only. save as web image.

i haven't entered in a while - hope this fares well...

this was a top 10 for me as well. i liked the creativity and the execution. (LOL on the comment about the dogs barking. mine do that to me with my motorcycle helmet on.)

I think the lighting is a bit too harsh, but I love this idea. the papers in the background are nice!

A very nice concept and very well executed. Its minor drawback is that in any portrait challenge the viewer expect just a little more facial exposure. However, I like it and no points off. Bump.

Totally creepy..but very unique...how exactly did you breathe? : ) Good job..and nice title! I also like the way you used the lighting, and I like that some of the angles of the newspapers in the back draw the viewer to the person in the picture.

Unique take on the challenge! I like the cartoon on your cheek - the curve of the circle fits nicely. Great light.
